Firstly, it must be said that the licence we hold restricts us from boarding certain breeds* and we do ask for all canines to be 16 weeks and over, be fully house-trained, up to date with their flea/worm treatments & vaccines and of course be well-behaved and good with other dogs. Also, we only accept boys that are neutered and for obvious reasons do we ask for girls not to be in heat when they visit us.

In addition to the regular vaccines, (proof must be provided that your dog has current vaccinations against Canine Distemper, Infectious Canine Hepatitis, Adenovirus, Parvovirus and Leptospirosis) it is recommended your dog has been treated against Mortadella Kennel Cough - especially when there will be dogs from different households boarding together. (Should you wish to have your dog stay as an exclusive only guest**, which can be arranged outside peak season and of course availability permitted-then this is still advisable though not mandatory.)

 

Of course I will do my utmost to make your dog feel at ease and at home but sometimes a little comfort from home is required to help settling in, especially if staying overnight. I find most dog adjust really quick and it usually only takes a few minutes up to an hour for them to feel completely at ease but for the first night you could bring a favourite toy, blanket or treat which will then be kept separate and hidden from 'nosy companion guests' in order to keep these items clean and not smelling of 'other dogs', for the remainder of their stay.

 

Please note that our host hounds are currently being fed on ella.co, which is hypoallergenic and cold pressed (like raw but without the fuss) and very safe for deep chested breeds so there is less risk of 'bloat'. We are are more than happy to share but in case of (extremely) fussy eaters, allergies and/or in case of extra sensitive tums, we recommend that you either bring your own -dog food- or have it ordered and delivered to us in advance (we can do this for you***). 

 

Also please make sure your dog is wearing a well fitting and comfortable collar with ID-tag for when we go on outings, a lead is optional. All dogs will be wearing an additional 'mutts & munchkins' ID tag during their stay and all meals are served in our own ceramic bowls unless our guests prefer their own of course, then you are most welcome to bring these too.

Lastly I would like to add that we have puppy crates available for those who prefer and of course private (separate) sleeping areas can be provided for and, your dogs will, naturally, have the run of our home and securely gated and fenced (11 acre) grounds.

 

Plenty of super-comfy dog beds from 'cloud7', plush blankets, a large and plump sofa featuring a state of the art home monitor, lots of toys and of course exclusive complimentary biscuits from 'aston's cookies' and sausages from 'the innocent hound' all come as standard. And should your dog be staying with us on his or her birthday, then we can offer a special 'party-treatment' with a real home-made (dog safe) 'pup' cake with a birthday photo/video-update (inclusive of party-hat-and festive bunting via e-mail) at no extra cost!

**Should you wish for your dog(s) to stay as an exclusive 'only' guest, then this can most certainly be arranged. Please bare in mind though that this means that although no other dogs from other clients will be present, our own dogs will be here at all times. We do require a little more notice for these bookings and depending on availability these bookings are at an extra surcharge of £10 per dog/day throughout the entire season (we do not ever increase our rates for the holiday season). PLEASE GET IN TOUCH IF YOU SHOULD WISH TO ARRANGE FOR YOUR DOG(S) TO STAY ON HIS/HER EXCLUSIVE VIP STAY OR MAKE MENTION OF THIS ON THE BOOKING FORM .

***In case you wish for us to order in your own dogs' food, then of course we are very happy to oblige but please note that this will be at the owners own expense (no extra cost-just the regular price of the items ordered will be added to your invoice-we will cover the delivery fee).
